The Scottish landscape is rugged, wild and endlessly diverse. From steep cliffs and rocky coastlines to dramatic waterfalls, windswept moors and quiet valleys, Scotland offers an extraordinary variety of landscapes to explore and photograph.
I am particularly drawn to the Scottish Highlands, where nature feels both beautiful and raw. Mountains disappear into mist, dark lochs reflect fleeting patches of light, and the sound of the wind seems to fill every corner of the landscape. There is something wonderfully untamed about these places that makes them especially inspiring for landscape photography.
The weather in Scotland is as much a part of the experience as the landscape itself. Rain can arrive within minutes, only to be followed by shafts of sunlight breaking through the clouds. These sudden changes create fleeting moments of dramatic light and atmosphere – exactly the kind of conditions I am always looking for when photographing the Scottish landscape.
This gallery is a collection of my landscape photographs from Scotland, including the Scottish Highlands and the Isle of Skye. They capture the mountains, lochs, coastline and open landscapes of a country whose beauty lies not only in its scenery, but also in its wildness, solitude and ever-changing mood
